Delhi

Delhi is a region steeped in history and legend and is divided into Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi is a labyrinth of winding alleyways, home to the Red Fort, Jamma Masjid Mosque and Channi Chowk, famous for its colouful bazzar.  The sweeping broad avenue of Rajpath is the focus of British built New Delhi, home to government buildings and India Gate.  Delhi has layers of history, from the Mughal emperors through the Raj and into the post-Independence era.   Travellers can sample a mind-boggling variety of delicious foods, from street stalls as well as restaurants.
