Located on a superb beach at Belle Mare in the east of the island, LUX* Belle Mare has a natural class and relaxed elegance. The majestic and spacious lobby has a large pool with turquoise mosaics opening onto the delicate lines of the crystal-clear swimming pool and the aquamarine lagoon. Thatched roofs invoke legendary Mauritian hospitality and give all the buildings an authentic charm. The LUX* Belle Mare also features 12 luxurious Villas which include 2 Prestige Villas each with two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, 2 Beach Front Villas with direct beach access, as well as 8 Ocean View Villas. Each Villa has its own individual, heated swimming pool with large and private garden with an outdoor shower. All the Villas look out towards the lagoon and are set on the edge of a sheltered bay. Facilities The main restaurant, Rive Gauche, serves a variety of tables d'hôte, buffets and gala dinners. Le Mediterranee Restaurant is the place to try local Mauritian dishes, as well as Mediterranean specialities. Looking out towards the lagoon, Indouchine serves French haute cuisine flavoured with little Indian and Chinese touches to produce pure gastronomic delight and the elegant Le Langoustier seafood restaurant overlooking the pool and the lagoon beyond is perfect for a romantic evening. Why not sit and watch the evening entertainment in the Monsoon lounge and bar or enjoy a exotic cocktail at Club Savanne. The swimming pool is exceptional: a massive 2,000 m², close to the beach and the lagoon, with a separate area for young children. The Spa at Beau Rivage offers different treatments which will delight guests that come to relax. Choose from a variety of water sports such as windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks, mini-sails, snorkelling, glass bottom boat rides and water-skiing, speedboat rides, ski tubes, scuba diving and big game fishing.
