Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has evolved from the little-known desert kingdom into one of the world's most dynamic visitor destinations.   Luxury hotels glint in the sun, boats bob in the warm Gulf and the heady feel of authentic Arabia underlies it all.   It has always been a place apart, backed by spectacular dunes, fanned by tropical breezes and upheld by a rich heritage.   Today's Abu Dhabi is a mix of age-old culture and modern comforts, somewhere where indulgence and relaxation go hand in hand with adventure.   Its future is well shaped too: take as examples the Formula 1 Grand Prix, coming to Abu Dhabi from 2009; the under construction Guggenheim Museum and the recently announced Louvre Abu Dhabi.
