About Kariega River Lodge

General description & location
Kariega River Lodge is located within Kariega Game Reserve, situated one and a half hours drive East of Port Elizabeth. There is a lot to do and see at Kariega Game Reserve where anything from 2 to 5 nights can be enjoyed but a minimum of 2 nights stay is highly recommended to enjoy the safari experience. Kariega River Lodge offers unique features such as daily boat trips to Kenton Beaches and excellent river fishing & crabbing. Children over 10 years are welcome.

Accommodation
Kariega River Lodge comprises of 10 superbly appointed thatched suites that meander along the banks of the Bushmans River. Rooms feature king size / twin beds, ensuite bathroom,
inside shower and ornate bath, double vanity basin, air-conditioning, mini bar and private viewing patio for watching Game and enjoying the stunning vistas. The Lodge itself offers guests lounges, library, pool and deck area which overhangs the river.

Facilities
Kariega River Lodge includes morning and evening game drives with experienced rangers giving you the opportunity of game viewing from open vehicles. Be enthralled with the sightings of lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, hippo, hyena, giraffe, zebra, eland, kudu, wildebeest, waterbuck and a variety of antelope as well as bird species, nesting fish, martial and crowned eagles. Further activities included for River Lodge guests are a daily boat cruise to Bushmans River, Safari walk, mountain biking, canoeing and fishing. The Kariega Wellness Centre is the perfect place to treat yourself to some pampering with treatments and therapies including massages and facials. Guests also have use of a fully equiped gym.
