About Lion Sands - Ivory Lodge, Kruger

General description & location
Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is located in the Southern territory of the world famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Mpumalanga. The southern boundary is shared with the Kruger National Park. With no fences, the wildlife can freely roam between Lion Sands and the Kruger National Park. Travel to Lion Sands can be made by road or air with a daily flight from Johannesburg to Mala Mala Airstrip and transfers to the lodge taking 45 minutes by Land Rover. Ivory Lodge is one of the three lodges available at Lion Sands. Children under 10 years of age regrettably can not be accommodated at Ivory Lodge except for block bookings by a family or group.

Accommodation
Lion Sands, Ivory Lodge comprises of six generously sized privately situated villas each with separate living room with fireplace, individual heated plunge pool, inside and outside shower, private viewing deck, air-conditioning, overhead fan and maxi bar. Accommodations have modern decor with an ebony and ivory colour scheme and breathtaking views of the Sabie River from your oversized window or private viewing area, with only baby elephants, zebra and gnu being your only neighbours.

Facilities
Lion Sands Game Reserve is private and exclusive to Lion Sands guests to ensure your safari experience is both personal and flexible. The Ivory Lodge entrance area is seperate to the main lodge in order to ensure guests arriving and departing don't disturb other overnight guests. The public areas at Ivory Lodge include private lounge, library, wooden viewing decks, wine cellar, gym and health spa, curio shop and both indoor and open-air (Boma) dining area.
