About Far East Multi Centre Holiday - Hong Kong, Bangkok & Yao Noi

Day 1 UK

  • Depart London Heathrow on British Airways for an overnight business class flight with British Airways to Hong Kong.

Day 2 Hong Kong

  • Arrive refreshed and ready for your private Rolls-Royce transfer to the legendary ‘Grande Dame Of The Far East', the five star Peninsula Hotel.  You will enjoy the finest blend of Eastern and Western hospitality during your four night stay. Your Deluxe Room comes luxuriously equipped with a spacious marble bathroom, Peninsula bed and a magnificent view of the Hong Kong skyline.
  • The restaurants at the Peninsula Hong Kong have enjoyed decades of iconic status, their independent personalities and excellent reputations preceding them.  Take traditional afternoon tea in the lobby; visit Gaddi's for French cuisine among traditional décor; sample contemporary cuisine in a Philippe Stark-designed, ultra-modern environment at Felix; enjoy traditional Swiss food in a cosy chalet at Chesa; modern Japanese dishes at Imsa; and for a traditional Cantonese experience, luxuriate in the 1920's Art Deco setting of Spring Moon. Round off your evening with cocktails, dancing and live music at Salon De Ning lounge or enjoy casual dining on the verandah or on the pool terrace.

Day 3 Hong Kong

  • Get your bearings in this bustling city with the Hong Kong Island Tour. The tour begins with a tram ride to Victoria Peak for a 360-degree view of the city, harbour, and islands that has mesmerised visitors and inspired photographers since the tramway opened in 1888. The next stop is Aberdeen, where the contrast in Hong Kong lifestyles is never more evident. Sampans zip around the harbour, their size dwarfed by huge multi-million dollar yachts and fishing boats in the marina. A sampan cruise (optional) around the docked boats provides a glimpse of everyday life as people go about their business repairing nets, cooking, and sorting the catch on their fishing boat.
  • Next stop is at the popular outdoor shopping market known as Stanley Market. Good bargains are designer goods and factory outlet clothing, brassware, porcelains, leather goods and souvenirs such as silks and jade trinkets. En-route to Stanley, pass Repulse Bay. In Repulse Bay, one building of particular interest is a glistening new glass high-rise that features a cut out in the middle. In keeping with good Feng Shui, the cut out allows the dragon an unobstructed journey from the hill should he need to drink from the bay.

Day 4 Hong Kong

  • Overwhelm your senses with a visit to the fragrant flower market located on Flower Market Road in Kowloon.  Stroll through the streets taking in the sweet scents and enjoying the spectacle of a huge array of brightly coloured exotic blooms.

Day 5 Hong Kong

  • Revitalise mind, body and spirit at The Peninsula Spa by ESPA where a range of beauty treatments combining European, Oriental and Ayurvedic philosophies are available.

Day 6 Bangkok

  • Take a private transfer to the airport then onto Bangkok with Cathay Pacific.  Your private transfer to Mandarin Oriental hotel will await you on arrival.
  • Located on the banks of the "River of Kings" (Chao Phraya River), Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has been an inspiration to a host of legendary writers from Somerset Maugham to Graham Greene. Established in 1876 as the first luxury hotel in Thailand, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok has long been famous for its service, style and grace. With 393 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, the hotel also has ten restaurants and outlets including Le Normandie, The China House, Lord Jim's, Sala Rim Naam and Terrace Rim Naam, both serving traditional Thai cuisine, and Ciao, an outdoor Italian bistro. The Bamboo Bar, The Verandah coffee shop, Riverside Terrace and Authors' Lounge, complete the picture.
  • Major renovations in 2009 have ensured this historic hotel offers the latest in modern comforts while remaining faithful to its legendary hospitality.  Rooms feature PC and iPod connectivity, LCD televisions and a complete surround sound audio system.  Each room has private butler service, as well as same-day laundry and valet with one hour pressing amenities.
  • Other hotel facilities include the internationally renowned Oriental Spa, a temple of wellbeing featuring the latest spa techniques in a traditional Thai setting, a business centre, two outdoor swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, shopping arcades, day care centre, a beauty parlor and barber shop, a fully equipped health centre and The Thai Cooking & Cultural School.

Day 7 Bangkok

  • To get a real feel for Bangkok, nothing beats a leisurely sojourn in the city's green lung, Lumpini Park. It's a short stroll from Sala Daeng Skytrain station, or take a taxi to Rama IV Road. A circuit of the park is almost three kilometres, so it's heaven for joggers, walkers and rollerbladers in search of a car-free oasis. There's also an open-air gym, a restaurant with an old dog who howls along with the national anthem at 6pm each day, and stands hawking medicinal shots of snake's bile.  Take a picnic, relax and watch the world go by.

Day 8 Bangkok

  • For an intimate glimpse of the days when Bangkok was known as the Venice of the East, take a ride on a longtail boat through the network of khlongs, or canals, that fan out from the Chao Phraya River towards Nontaburi, north of Bangkok. You can hire a boat for about 500 baht per hour from River City Pier, or the nearby Oriental Pier. The boats are noisy and basic and you might get the occasional face-full of spray, but the fascinating tableau of khlong life, a world far removed from the automotive madness of the rest of the city, is worth the minor discomfort. On the way, stop at Wat Arun.

Day 9 Bangkok

  • Upscale shopping nirvanas abound in Bangkok: the likes of Gaysorn Plaza, Siam Discovery Center and Central World Plaza are conveniently located and within minutes' walk of each other. Emporium is just a few stations away on the fast and convenient BTS Skytrain. But if you fancy going further afield, make a beeline for the mother of all markets, Chatuchak. It's hot and crowded, but even those who profess to loathe shopping trips will find something to tickle their fancy at this sprawling weekend bazaar. It's located next to the Skytrain terminus at Mo Chit.

Day 10 Yao Noi

  • Private transfer to Bangkok Airport for your flight to Phuket with Thai Airways.  Guests will be met upon arrival at the airport and will be transported by private luxury car then speedboat to Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi, the total transfer time is just over an hour.
  • The island of Yao Noi, situated midway between Phuket and Krabi, among the awe-inspiring limestone pinnacles of Phang Nga.  The Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi consists of 56 Pool Villas and Pool Villa Suites, the Hilltop Reserve and the Retreat, all set in natural vegetation and tropical landscaping, providing privacy between the elevated villas and allowing glorious views over Phang Nga Bay. There are several restaurants and bars, a wine cellar, a Chef's Table, and a Six Senses Spa Village.
  • Several villas offer personal spa suites, and all are served by pool villa butlers. Villas have open-style bathrooms, creating a sense of space and light and boasting magnificent views of the bay and surrounding forest.  Each villa also has a private infinity pool with sundeck for absolute privacy and relaxation.  Local building techniques have been adopted using natural materials that are in harmony with the environment.
  • Several dining options offer inspired world cuisine, with tandoori and wood-fired ovens and an open grill, together with Mediterranean dishes and an authentic taste of Thailand - complete with noodle bar. There's a dramatic glassed-in duplex wine cellar, a chef's table and a close-at-hand organic vegetable garden for the freshest salads.

Day 11 Yao Noi

  • Put yourself in the hands of the skilled therapists at the Six Senses Spa, where they create sensory journeys for guests, with a range of holistic wellness and pampering treatments. Enjoy views of the lush forested hillside from this Asian long-house styled haven of pampering.

Day 12 Yao Noi

  • Six Senses have experienced guides to take guests to climb the famous rock formations or recommend the best mountain bike trails, and see attractions on the island such as the Giant Tree and the Sacred Pond. Also offered is a tour of Krabi which includes a visit to Tha Pom - a fresh water stream for fishing and swimming. On the way back to the resort, a rejuvenating massage and chilled champagne are offered on the private motor boat. Other activities available include a tour of Phuket Town, a tour of Yao Noi complete with a study of its mangrove forestation.
  • Alternatively you can relax on the sand, enjoy a little gentle snorkling, have a private barbeque on the beach than a starlight massage or a romantic candlelit dinner.

Day 13 Yao Noi

  • If you wish to explore the bay by boat there are many options.  Guests wishing to be on their own can enjoy sea canoeing and drift into Yao Noi's world of secluded beaches and bays. Others may island hop a speed boat to Koh Yao Yai - the "big sister" to Koh Yao Noi - or see the fascinating limestone formations up close, including the setting used for the James Bond movie - Man with the Golden Gun! Another option is to enjoy the camaraderie of cruising on a majestic Siamese Junk in the peace and tranquility of Phang Nga Bay. Stopping for lunch, chefs serve traditional Thai cuisine using the freshest ingredients while guests swim and snorkel in the crystal clear water straight off the boat.
