Hiiragiya Ryokan opens onto a side street charmingly evocative of Kyoto, yet is within the heart of the city. A short walk takes you to a dazzling variety of trendy shoppng and nightlife streets. The hotel is located approximately 120 minutes by taxi from Kansai Airport or 75 minutes by JR train to Kyoto Station, followed by a 15 minute taxi ride.

Accommodation
The Hiiragiya offers Japanese-style rooms, exquisitely and individually decorated with most enjoying a garden view. Rooms provide en suite Japanese wood baths of aromatic fir and tokens of the past are represented by works of art, such as painted screens or ink paintings. There are 21 rooms in the main building plus 7 rooms in the new wing.

The Hiiragiya offers guests the finest quality Kaiseki cuisine, prepared with finesse using the season's freshest ingredients. Meals are served on elegant lacquer ware and Kyoto-crafted ceramics.
