General description & location
Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort is located just 40 minutes from Kota Kinabalu Airport and 35 minutes from the shops and commercial district. Set on the completely unspoilt Pantai Dalit surrounded by 400 acres of lush tropical vegetation, Rasa Ria has its own unique nature reserve featuring Orang Utans, native animals and pitcher plants. For golf enthusiasts you will find an 18 hole championship Golf course adjacent to the resort with a fully equipped pro shop with a selection of premium equipment available for rental.

Accommodation
Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort has 420 rooms in total. 330 guestrooms are located in the garden Wing, with a choice of ground floor rooms which feature a private lanais accessed through verdant gardens or upper floor rooms which feature private balcony with lush landscape and sea views. 90 guestrooms are located in the New Ocean Wing and feature a private outdoor bath on each balcony with views of the sea. Suites at the Rasa Ria are luxurious and include extra touches such as DVD players, flatscreen televisions and private verandas with views of the tropical gardens and South China Sea.

Facilities
Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort offers a range of restaurants and bars with a variety of cuisines, beautifully positioned on either the beachfront, poolside, level 1 or Golf Club. A popular attraction for many guests is a visit to the Nature Reserve where you'll meet rescued Orang Utans who stay at the sanctuary for a few years before returning to the wild. In addition, the reserve is also home to deer, long tailed Macaques, bear cat, water hens and fruit bats to name but a few. End the day with an indulgent treatment in the resorts Spa located at the clubhouse of the Dalit Bay Golf Club.
