Weather

The city of Phnom Penh enjoys warm, tropical weather all year long. There are two seasons: a dry season from December to April and a wet season from May to November. In the dry season the northeast monsoon winds keep the days sunny and dry, but the wet season brings the monsoons themselves, bringing showers and high levels of humidity. Many people choose to visit in December and January due to the comfortable climate and lack of rain.  As typical for Cambodia, Siem Reap enjoys warm, tropical weather all year round. The dry season lasts from November to March, with hardly any rain falling in December and January, although these two months are part of the Cambodian winter, meaning cooler climes. This time is ideal for sightseeing, allowing visitors to cycle and visit the temples comfortably. The wet season begins in May and lasts until November, and often brings spectacular storms.  Danang's monsoon tropical climate means that it enjoys mild temperatures throughout the year. The temperatures peak between May and September, and conditions can become hot and sticky. The temperatures during the winter months can be quite cool, with plenty of rain received September through December. The best time to visit Danang is between February and May, when the skies are sunny and humidity levels aren't too high. The long wet season means that you may see some rain whenever you visit, although showers are generally short.
