16 Days Heritage of Rajasthan
"Colourful cities and sprawling desert; Rajasthan is archetypal India, and its royal treasures are a joy to explore."
Your journey begins in Delhi, where forts lie ruined in-between new-build skyscrapers. Take a tour of the ancient walled city of Old Delhi, marvelling at the opulence of the magnificent Red Fort. A wander around the town will lead you down twisting streets and colourful bazaars, and makes for a highly enjoyable walk. The city of Agra homes India's most famous jewel - the Taj Mahal. It is a monument that has to be visited to be fully appreciated, and one that leaves a lasting impression. Away from the city you can enjoy a sunset elephant safari, where you will ride through the forest whilst drinking delicious cocktails. Another highlight of the tour is a visit to the blue city of Jodhpur. The magnificent Mehrangarh Fort stands 400 feet above the blue-washed city, and is testament to the genius of Rajput architecture. Your final destination is Udaipur, where you will wind down with an evening boat ride on the calm waters of Lake Pichola.
