"A high-end hotel fit for royalty, the Raffles Hotel Le Royal is blessed with history and style, atmosphere and aesthetics."
First established in 1929, it welcomes as it has always done a diverse international clientele of entrepreneurs, writers, journalists, royalty and intrepid travelers of all stripes.
Graced through the years by legends including former U.S First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and French writer, statesman and adventurer André Malraux, Raffles Phnom Penh sets the benchmark for refined enchantment and divine relaxation. Perfectly of its place, this exceptional establishment is the genuine article; infused with the history of Phnom Penh itself. For romance and relaxation, business or pleasure, Raffles Hotel Le Royal is an extraordinary place in an extraordinary location: an exciting, enchanting place loved by those with an adventurous spirit and a taste for the very best.
Dating from the 1920s and distinguished by its blend of Khmer, Art Deco and French colonial architecture, Raffles Hotel Le Royal’s rooms, suites and apartments are all in colonial style, with wooden floors and overhead fans, and recently refurbished using local artworks and fabrics. High ceilings accentuate the ornate details of the rooms, and bathrooms come with sumptuous claw-footed tubs.
Landscape architects Belt Collins International have created a magnificent garden that has carefully incorporated mature, existing native and ornamental trees and has been extravagantly replanted to soften the horizontality of the main building and the enclosing courtyard wings.

Cambodian cuisine is, of course, one of the world's undiscovered treasures and guests can enjoy the finest French and Cambodian delicacies in Restaurant Le Royal. Cambodian cuisine is an essential part of the Raffles experience. Combining the best of local culture and cuisine with dishes from around the world, each of the restaurants and bars has its own unique atmosphere and setting. When it comes to drinks, sample a Femme Fatale - the signature cocktail of the Elephant Bar, the centre of the city’s brilliant social scene.
The city of Phnom Penh enjoys warm, tropical weather all year long. There are two seasons: a dry season from December to April and a wet season from May to November. In the dry season the northeast monsoon winds keep the days sunny and dry, but the wet season brings the monsoons themselves, bringing showers and high levels of humidity. Many people choose to visit in December and January due to the comfortable climate and lack of rain.
