Welcome to Settha Palace
"Originally a 1930s family mansion, this remarkable hotel stands in the heart of bustling Vientiane."
Built in the early part of the last century, circa 1932, and painstakingly restored to its former imperial glory, the Settha Palace Hotel serves as a testament to the long lost era of classical elegance, gracious service and French colonial charm.
Once more owned by the same passionate family that ran the hotel in its heyday before the change of regime to Communism in 1975, no stone has been left unturned and no expense spared in the quest to bring this Vientiane landmark back to life. Whether you are relaxing by the pool or holding an event in our meeting facilities, friendly service delivered with warm smiles and discrete attention to all your needs.
Take a step back in time when you stay in any of the spacious Suites or Deluxe Rooms. With just one of its kind available, the Junior Suite is a unique 44 square meters of cosy colonial living with a sofa lounge set, LCD television, and a cosy dining area. Then proceed to La Belle Epoque Restaurant to explore the interesting flavours on the Lao menu or select your courses from the classic French menu. Tastefully restored in creamy ivory and natural Rosewood decor, this colonial boutique hotel provides intimate spaces and has the perfect hotel facilities with elegant sophistication for your special celebration, lunch or dinner meetings.
Vientiane's climate is typical of Laos and its neighbouring countries, with the calendar splitting into a distinct dry and wet season. The wet season begins in May or June and lasts until October, and temperatures and humidity are both high during this period. From the end of October onwards the days become drier and cooler, and this is the peak time for visiting.
