"The Caravelle has been at the centre of Saigon society since the hotel was opened in 1959."
In 1998, an elegant 24-storey tower was built as a complement to the original 10-storey building. With commanding views of the city and an enviable location opposite the Opera House, the landmark hotel is at the heart of a city once renowned as the Pearl of the Orient.
The ever changing vista of Lam Son Square, beautiful city views and those of the Saigon River await you and all are close to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (7km away). The Caravelle prides itself on offering traditional refinement in an ambiance that is welcoming, warm and offers luxurious modern living in sophisticated and understated elegant surroundings.
Caravelle Hotel has 335 superbly appointed rooms, suites, exclusive Signature Floors, Signature Lounge, non-smoking floors, specially equipped room for the disabled. Amenities include IDD telephone, satellite television channel, CD, DVD, facsimile, mini-bar, tea and coffee-makers, coffee and espresso machine and in-room safe. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet in-room & throughout the hotel.
The Caravelle is another of Saigon's historic hotels - though there is little evidence of the original building in the modern structure. These days it’s one of the city’s premier downtown hotels with full business and leisure amenities and a perfect location. The staff are excellent, as are the facilities.

The weather in Ho Chi Minh is split into just two seasons, and the city receives a tropical climate with hot, humid conditions all year round. The rainy season lasts from May to November, with showers tending to be short and sudden during this period. The dry season sees slightly cooler temperatures, but still maintains an average temperature of 28ºC. Typhoons are common between July and November, so it's advisable to avoid this period. Most people choose to visit during the dry season.
