"The island of Bali may be small but it sure is mighty, boasting glorious beaches, verdant rice paddies and enchanting temples."

In this Bali multi centre, take in some of Bali's best beaches and world class surf before visiting the culturally rich town of Ubud, home to museums, art galleries and a thriving cafe scene.

Bali is ringed by endless beaches, each offering sun-worshippers something different. The island's southern shores are the most popular, featuring the likes of surf-friendly Balangan and the stunning Ungasan. From deserted shores perfect for romance to lively tourist resorts, each Bali beach guarantees glorious golden sunsets. Next up travel inland to Ubud, nestled on gentle green slopes and possessing some incredible views. Many temples and ancient relics surround Ubud, including the handsome Puri Saren, or Royal Palace. Be sure to visit the morning market to discover an authentic Balinese market experience, where you can pick up some deliciously fresh ingredients.

Given Bali's proximity to the equator, the island's weather is reliably hot and sunny. There are two distinct seasons: the dry season lasts between May and September and the wet season runs from October to April. Even in the wet season it is likely to be sunny for a good part of the day, and the rainfall is never too high. The best time to visit Bali is between May and September, when temperatures are hot and the days are at their longest.
