"Savour a stylish stay in iconic Hong Kong before flying to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo for a nature-infused escape."

Hong Kong is a hive of shopping, dining and entertainment, and the city screams of lavish extravagance. Kota Kinabalu in contrast is a charming coastal town surrounded by raw natural beauty.

Defined by the incredible Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong and its stunning skyline make for an imposing spectacle that glistens and gleams, attracting eager visitors from all over the world. Lose yourself in the chaotic capitalism of Central, as endless markets line the mazy streets. After dark enjoy a long drink in a rooftop bar and take in spectacular views of this incredible city. Follow your big city break with a trip to Kota Kinabalu, where glitzy hotels stand next to traditional markets, all in the shadow of the towering Mt Kinabalu. The climate of Hong Kong is sub-tropical, with temperatures reaching above 30°C in summer but dropping below 10°C in winter. The coolest months are mid-December through February, when conditions are mainly cloudy and cold but dry. During the months of March through May temperatures and rainfall increase dramatically, and there is little sunshine. The months of June to mid-September see the highest temperatures and rainfall, so conditions are incredibly humid. Perhaps the best time to visit would be in autumn, between mid-September and December, when temperatures are moderate, skies are clear and the sun shines.  Kota Kinabalu’s weather is defined by two monsoon seasons. The northeast monsoon from November to March is the cooler of the two and sees less rain. The southwest monsoon is much warmer and wetter. The dry season lasts from January to April, which sees a reduced level of rainfall. April generally receives the warmest temperatures.
