"Join the rich and famous as you dive into the slick city life of Hong Kong before visiting the Malaysian state of Penang, where rich culture and natural beauty collide."

Defined by a glorious skyline set against green-capped mountains, Hong Kong is visually astounding. At times chaotic and overwhelming, the city is an incredibly exciting destination. Penang offers a different experience entirely, centred around the bustling city of George Town with its beautiful colonial architecture.

Whether looked down on from a rooftop bar, witnessed from Victoria Peak or experienced on street level, Hong Kong is undeniably impressive. A hive of consumerism, the city is overloaded with markets and restaurants, offering weird and wonderful delights. Be sure to visit the Temple Street Night Market in Kowloon, a bustling centre of after-dark activity. A flight east transports you to Penang, where stretches of golden sand border calm seas. Capital George Town is charming, and considered by many to be the finest town in Malaysia. The city has an impeccable street food scene, and the enticing aromas that linger in the streets are testament to this. After experiencing Penang you're sure to be planning your next visit.

Kowloon's subtropical climate means that winters are generally mild and summers are hot and humid. The peak time to visit is between October to the end of December, when temperatures comfortably arm and sunny and nights are pleasantly cool. The months of January through early March are cold and rainy, and March and April are very changeable. May to September sees hot, humid weather with plenty of rain, and the city is at risk of typhoons.   Penang’s equatorial climate means high heat, high humidity and high rainfall all year round. There are two main seasons – the dry season from December to March and the wet season from April to November. However, Malaysia is affected by two monsoon seasons so wet weather is always a possibility. Most people opt to visit Penang during the dry season, when rainfall and humidity are at their lowest.
