"Chase a slick city break in Singapore with a lusciously lazy stay in Langkawi and a culture-heavy visit to Penang."

Singapore is a haven of shopping and food, delivered in a chic, modern package. If you can tear yourself away from the city's many attractions, journey to beautiful Langkawi in north west Malaysia before ending your trip in popular Penang.

Singapore is energetic and efficient, defined by its impressive transport system and unique architectural designs. A myriad of swanky hotels and restaurants make up the soaring skyline, offering a wide range of exclusive hangouts. Visit the island of Sentosa for a whole host of fun-filled attractions. Next up is Langkawi, renowned for its tropical shores and thick jungle. Striking karst formations add to the beauty of the landscape, and the surrounding waters provide an aquatic environment perfect for exploring. Penang lies further south down the coast, boasting a delicious food scene, a captivating colonial capital and miles of stunning coastline.

Singapore's climate is warm and humid all year round, and so there is no 'best' time to visit the city. Temperatures are generally always high, averaging around 24°C in the mornings and evenings and around 31°C in the daytime. The temperature dips, but only slightly, between November and January when the monsoon season arrives.  Langkawi has quite a stable climate for an island in Malaysia. It is shielded from major winds and storms by the mainland on one side and Sumatra on the other. Consequently Langkawi can be visited all year round, as weather is never too drastic. The best time to visit is between April and August, when there is a good balance of sunshine and light rainfall.  Penang’s equatorial climate means high heat, high humidity and high rainfall all year round. There are two main seasons – the dry season from December to March and the wet season from April to November. However, Malaysia is affected by two monsoon seasons so wet weather is always a possibility. Most people opt to visit Penang during the dry season, when rainfall and humidity are at their lowest.
