"Hemming one of Langkawi’s most beautiful beaches, the Tanjung Rhu Resort is a tranquil and romantic hideaway."
There is a real sense of peace and exclusivity as you are welcomed to this beautiful resort which lies on the island’s beautiful and secluded northern shore. The expansive grounds are scattered with Casuarina trees and are home to three swimming pools, including a family-friendly lagoon pool and a 60 metre adults-only pool which has stunning sea views.
The highlight here has got to be the one-and-a-half mile long private beach where you can enjoy view of limestone islets and the Thai Island of Ko Tarutao. At low tide there is even a winding sand bank that stretches out into the Andaman Sea – the perfect spot for a romantic walk. With comfortable and luxurious rooms, island tours around Langkawi, world-renowned restaurants and more; Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi will entices you to come and stay for a dream vacation.
There are 136 rooms, all of which have been renovated with great attention to detail. The Damai Rooms and Cahaya Rooms have a living area and a small balcony with views of the central courtyard and the resort’s gardens respectively. If you seek a little more space and the added luxury of a separate living space and two balconies then a Bayu Suria Pool/Gardenview Room or a Bayu Senja Seaview Room is an ideal choice.

There are three restaurants, each offering a fusion of Eastern and Western cuisine and a spectacular beachside setting. There are also two al fresco beach bars and the restful Reading Room where a delightful afternoon tea is served daily. Due to the hotel’s secluded location it is wise to choose the all inclusive upgrade, with inclusions such meals at all three restaurants, afternoon tea, non-alcoholic beverages and the use of watersports equipment.
Langkawi has quite a stable climate for an island in Malaysia. It is shielded from major winds and storms by the mainland on one side and Sumatra on the other. Consequently Langkawi can be visited all year round, as weather is never too drastic. The best time to visit is between April and August, when there is a good balance of sunshine and light rainfall.
